Fun Fact: The first high school musical I starred in was “Dames At Sea” – no one has heard of it. But it so happens that me and Ray Leota have that in common. Bernadette Peters was also the first actress to play my role on broadway. Kids probably don’t know who either of those people are.
Why this Career? By accident! I was working at an advertising agency full time and a friend needed help at her new salon. Once the ad agency cut all of our salaries by 15%, that was my queue to try something new…something more recession proof. I’m still here 15 years later, even though many people told me I wouldn’t be.
Specialties: I’m currently obsessed with grey blending. Especially for ladies who are trying to grow out their color. Soft highlights/balayage. Curly hair obviously (my curly hair cut clients advertise for me which is awesome but my body is wearing down so I’m trying to gain more color/chemical guests than just haircut guests).
How you’ll feel after being in my chair: My number one goal is to make my clients feel better than when they came in. Not to solve their problems. But to know that they have a safe space to talk and hopefully have a good laugh and a hug by the end.
